First of all want to thank the OL team for giving me the chance to be a part of it - was an awesome experience apart from the tongue

Secondly a huge well done to the logan 4x4 club for the work the did in organising the event - was a brilliant challenge

but I must admit here I was thinking I had got away with no damage to the TJ but on inspection today found both front upper control arms bent like bananas both rear upper control arm mounts on the chassis with abot a inch split down the inner sides and the front left hand lower control arm mount on the diff half torn off

To the OL team, well done, it was great to compete with 5 really capable rigs and an awesome bunch of guys. Apart from the breakages we did well. It was most gratifying to see the team work together, which was exemplified by the result on ss2, a stage which was ideally suited to the winch type trucks eg. ontrack. But through some great driving and some spot on team work by not only the navvys but the drivers we did the track in half the time of the nearest competitors.

As for eating that crap? i was more sick watching everyone suffer. than having to eat, kidney, 1/2 an onion, and 1/2 a tongue. I dont know how some did it?

On Track - well done, and to Marshy and the logan crew thanks for a great event!

I just want to say a huge thanks to the organisers, we had a fantastic time!!!!!

It was our second year for competing, and a whole lot more than we expected, a lot of time and effort must have gone into organising the event. The driving stages were excellent, adrenalin pumping the whole time, we escaped with only rearranging our right hand quarter panel, and busting our winch, which was fitted new on Friday night around 7. A few of us found that tree root in SS7, receiving panel damage, our team also suffered a busted tail shaft, banana shaped steering arm, now modified with star picket and busted CV, and a few lost mudflaps and other scrapes. We were really pleased to win the orienteering stage, as none of us had ever really held a compass before let alone know how to read one, and we also won SS11, the rally course, what a hoot!

We had to replace 3 cars at the last minute, Bill Lyne couldn't compete this year because of the Rain Forrest Challenge, and we missed him greatly and tried our best in his absence. It was fantastic to see our club pull together so we could put in a team for such a great annual event.

The officials were fantastic, and the never say die attitude from the other teams were inspirational, had a absolute ball! Looking forward to seeing some photos and video footage.

A round of applause to Simon and Julie, an extremely well organised event with great structure!!!

Well done to all of those people/teams that competed. You are all WINNERS just by giving it a go.

Thanks to Julie, Shane and Simon for putting in such a great effort for the Logan Challenge 2004.

As for SS5 - you all can't say that I didn't feed or water you!!! (Didn't most of you end up at Melodys stage of first aid? See it all balances out in the end.... )

Well done to all of the officials for taking the time to help out and keep the encouragement up when time between competeing teams become sooooooooo long.

Looking forward to next year.

Well what a fantastic weekend. It was such a blast.

A very big thank you to the organisers, mainly Julie and Simon putting the weekend together. I appreciate how hard and how much time and work you would have spent in working out each of the stages and making it such a fantastic weekend. Thank you to all the other helpers and officials.

This was my first year in it, I was originally going to be back up car but found out a couple of months ago that Jimmy had to work that weekend and pulled out so I was in. How excited was I!!

All the stages were good, well maybe not the "Are you hungry" stage where I had a shot of vinegar followed by half a lemon. The adrenalin was working overtime all weekend. The GPS run was loads of fun. It is good to see events like this supported so well.

Gained some panel damage on the weekend, I think we burnt out the clutch in the winch, lost both back mud flaps (but found later) and a flare. Was well worth the damage.

Thanks guys and gals for such an exciting, adrenalin rush, fun weekend. Looking forward to next years weekend of surprises.

Thanks to Simon and Julie for a top weekend. A shame that the scrutineering dragged out on sat morning but as with most events of this style it relies entirely on volunteers, so well done to the stand in officials. After coming down last year for the first time we knew "sort of" what to expect for this year. However with everyone in Team Confusion working on their cars everyday until the thursday b4 we came down, and then one car unable to compete at the last minute due to mechanical problems it was almost impossible for us to train together b4 hand. A quick ring around in the last week saw us secure our last team members and car. (Thanks Phil and Dan for stepping in)

The saturday went quiet well for us being fairly consistent in all our events until one of our team members went down just b4 ss9 with a medical problem. Many thanks to the officials who organised the ambulance to get on the scene quickly. ss10 was our first and only mechanical problem with a smashed CV on the defender. Made it interesting getting out of the creek with the steering locked from smashed metal in the housing. So once again thanks to the officials who were very patient with us while a new CV was installed after the stage. We hit ss1 just as the sun was going down saturday arvy and did the stage under lights after peeling a tyre trying to winch sideways, but all cars made it thru.

By the time sunday arrived we were hearing all sorts of hellish stories about heartbreak hill but to the credit of the team we kept level headed and pulled a sub 25min time with no damage!!! Well done team. Then for some reason we forgot to do R.I.P. Possum and went straight to the nav stage. Oh well, i think next year we will be keeping a better track of the stages we have done. Lol!

So once again thanks to all the organisers, sponsers and competitors who took part in this years challenge. We don't get the exposure to events up here in the sticks so we are looking forward to making this event part of our club calender every year.
So thanks everyone who didn't give up when things started breaking and CQ Offroad club looks forward to seeing you all next year again and maybe at Cruiser park in may 2005.

I aint going to say that it was a great weekend...I aint going to say thank you to all the people who helped over the weekend because everyone else has already said it and I feel that it goes unsaid anyway...being invloved in many fishing comps I know how much work is involved when putting together a comp such as this! WELL DONE!

It was my first comp that I competed in and I had a blast...I felt pretty chuffed with a 6th place (I think) overall position considering we did not compete in the sat night stages! We did manage to take out one stage (the one in the gorge..SS3 I think) so that made me

Also picked up some great prizes in the raffle with a recovery kit and a high lift jack coming home with me on the sunday!

There was a bit of carnage with 3 CV's going BANG...2 were during SS1 and the third was during the navrun on the sunday!

In the eating stage I picked the peri peri sauce which I have most nights anyway...But then I had to back up and finish the onion...wasnt too bad coz the sauce had killed the taste buds anyway!

had a great time...see what happens next time!
