Comparing a 16x8" rim with 93mm backspacing to a 16x10" rim with 100mm backspacing am i correct in thinking that the effectice centre of the tyre will have moved out thereby widening wheeltrack. Assuming tyres are the same.

Was searching this stuff the other day as I'm due for new rims and 35's asap.
SOunded like 16 x 8 better for offroad but 16x10 would hold tyre flatter on road. Is this right??
Also it is illegal in Vic to have rims wider than 8inch i think????
How many of you bother to get 35 inch tyres engineered??
