Need help finding Gen I Pajero and "cat" logo
Hello to the mates down under...
I have my 87 (your 86) SWB on the road. I haven't posted much on it here, but there is plenty on 4x4Wire.com. I am one of the now many who has put in a turbo intercooled motor from a Starion. It's a blast to drive and I am itching to wheel it now that I have a few miles on it.
Any, the reason for the post... I am looking to do a custom intrior this winter with some cool looking marine vinyl. One thing I was thinking of doing was stitching the Pajero name in the Gen I font into the seat backs. So I pull out a brochure that I picked up from Oz on ebay to see if there is anything that I can scan for using in a CNC sewing machine. On the back of the brochure is a from the rear picture of a LWB with a spare tire cover that has both the Pajero name/word, but also a very sharp looking cat logo/emblem. (A pajero is a wild cat of some sort, right?) I don't know if these covers were common or not.
I'm wondering if any of you have, or know of, such a logo somewhere eiither in print or in an electronic format? If no one knows what I'm talking about I can scan it and post. But then again, if you don't know what I mean, then finding one is probably unlikely.
Or, maybe even point me in the direction of actually getting one of the wheel covers.
Thanks for any help...
Bill

Hekta: That's right on, thanks! Are you affiliated with the club? I'm thinking I'll email them and see if I could swing getting a version that says North America across the bottom. I also like the cat only version on the right hand side of their web site.
Otep: Hey, what's up? Sounds like the same brochure I have, thanks.
4runna: Good links, thanks!

Good deal, thanks. I have another question for Frank so I think I'll shoot him a message.
Yeah, as soon as I saw the wheel cover on the brochure I though about the seats. I'm leaning towards these colors called blue streak and charcoal grey for the seats. Then I think I'd go with a black circle like the cover and silver thread for the logo itself. Here's the material- http://www.glfi.com/vinylbook_carbonfiber.htm. As soon as I take care of some other loose ends and clear a place to sew, I'm going to get started on it.

I am still trying to decide what to do with the floor. I'm going to look at the feasibility of cutting reliefs in the carpet so that It would be easily removable. People talk about how warm it can get with just the Herc on the floor. I know that before I had the shifter boots reinstalled, there was a ton of heat that came up through the hole.
