any one know what is involved in the f10a 4 speed conversion to 5 speed. I know that you have to swap the gears from the 5 speed box to the 4 speed box but that is as much as I know

..........yeh, quite a bit actually. If you have a series 1 or 2 SJ410 Sierra (pre 11/84), it isn't a worth while exercise. The main reason being is that you will require a gearbox out of series 3, 4 or 5 SJ410 (11/84-87) or a MG410 Maruti. This gearbox is longer than a series 1/2. It is essentially a 1300 Sierra gearbox with a 1000 bell housing. The other aspect is that you will have to view moving the welded cross member in between the chassis rails, and this is just for starters. It is a prick of a job to do and at the end of the day you would do better just getting a 1300 Sierra.......nah dammit, just get a Jimny
