thanks. the rear suspension is just ome lift springs with toyota cressida spec shocks (long enough for the spring to drop about 4-5 inches from the top mount at full downtravel). it does the job good enough, cause the mongrels foul the guards before all the travel is used anyway. with the small 30's on it, like in the pics, it has nice useable travel cause the tires actually tuck into the guard.

I have heard of the cressida shocks being used before.. i ended up using VN commodore ones, 630 mm long.. I had to fit much longer bump stops and the springs just hang in there at full down. (4" lift from Allsprings) they have a low rate and extend really well. I also had to add a diff A arm spacer (75mm) so the joint didnt kill itself..
Then its to the IFS... keep it or junk it !!

I am planning in SAS for the shorty first, see how it goes.. There are times when IFS clearance actually helps !

they sound pretty much identical, the cressida ones are 630mm extended as well. i too think i need the a-arm spacer, cause it really seems to be stressing it at the moment at full travel. i just wire my springs in at the bottom, haven't had any drama's with them coming out (unless some dodgy character pulls em out deliberatly) ;)

and spazbot, soon soon, hopefully early next year.......got duals to do first though ;)

nice :)

What about the legal side. I know the exo depends on how its attached to the chassis so where do you stand now :?:

Yeah u need the spacer, easy to make. I used 75mm square section with 25mm square "crush tubes" for the bolts. It made the rear work nice..
The Allsprings guys make nice stuff and not too $$

The cressida is good with about 3" suspension lift.... a little too much for 2" but what the heck (hence antt and I wired in).

All in all works good.

Dicks one is a GV and different suspension (hence 4" spring lift). Dick, did you end up using the hillman ones in the shorty or whetever was in the GV in the shorty?
