With regards to the angle of the tailshaft.....
would adding one of the 12mm packers to drop the gearbox essentially create the same angle as having a lift of 12mm less???
If I put in 12mm packers and my problem is solved, will adding 10mm spring spacers make the packers redundant??

Gearbox Packer Question
ludacris wrote:What sort of lift. Is it a SWB or what. What problem are you trying to get rid of.
yep, swb with vibration at about 40-50 kmh, after installing 2 inch lift.
Was going to get spring spacers in to raise another 10mm, but have vibration already, and was wondering if I put the packers in and get rid of the vibration, then is it going to make the packers redundant if i install the spring spacers, because they are close to the height of the packers
Putting a small amount of packers in your shorty shouldnt cause many problems with the front shaft. As you lift over all is relativly small. Just have a look at the front shaft angle of some of the LWB's with 7" lifts, a couple of packers in a 60mm lifted shorty aint going to hurt it.
