Did the early Pajeros ever come out with a 4g52 (2 ltr)???

I'm pretty sure they didnt but a mate reckons they did....

Not that I recall - I think they had 2l motors in some markets, but not in Australia. But Frank (Bitsamissin) is the Great Guru, and he'll be able to settle the bet for you... :D

We got them here with a 2l turbo.
The usual fix/tune up is the 2.6,some fit the turbo to the 2.6 as well

There seems to be a few 2L turbo shorties at the importers. So they definately do exist.... here in AU too.

Anyone know what there performance is like?

Yes they did but were never released in Oz.
This model was the L041G and was sold in other markets including Japan.
The only 4 cylinder petrol we got in Oz was the 2.6.
