how to take spider gear pins out of vit diff centre?

Post by SiKiD_01 »

so, how do you do it? the bigger pins hold the spider gears, and then there are the little pins that hold the big pins in place.

i've taken the little pins out, so how do you get the bigger pins out? someone mentioned that on the sierra carrier, the pins only come out one way, is this the same? i think on the sierra carrier, the ring gear holds the pins in place.

this is so frustrating. can any one help?

thanks
steve

i just cant take the one of the half pins and the long one out. they don't look bent, and there is about 5mm of play. the pins won't slide through the spider gears, or the spider gears wont allow the pins to slide through.

i noticed that there is a machined section/flat spot on the pins, what is this for? the spiders seem to be held in place by this or something.
