CV boots

Post by Nev62 »

I remember hearing somewhere that you can buy "universal" aftermarket CV boots that dont require the dismantaling of the CV to put them on. Anyone know where I can get my hands on some (noticed one of mine is ripped open).

give repco a crack. I remember a mate using them on a Subaru many years ago. I also remember it being almost as difficult as, if not more difficult than actually popping the shaft out and putting the proper boots on. I reckon it's a good idea to drop the shfats out anyway, gives you a chance to inspect, clean and properly repack the joints, extends their lives a tad.
