coils or leaves

hey guys got a big dilemma should i go spring over or go the coils ,a arm rear, 3link front?...lookin for a street reliable rig with hard core driving in mind for winter etc any ideas appreciated
there is alot of good stuff down south from us about couple hours away,including lots of mud steep hill climbs creeks etc...
at the moment i am spring under with extended shackles runnin 31 tyres which hit all over at full stuff.got my 12" coils from the states at bout xmas time.i think it really depends wat the coppers let me do. i am keen on the coil set up but spoa is a hell of a lot easier to do..

I have done a coil front - coil over rear.
Coils are heaps more comfortable than leaves, and under real hard terrain you wont bend them. If you do a SPOA make sure you run some sort of 'anti-wrap' bar. As with alot of torque you will turn your leaves into an 'S' shape.
At the last winch challenge there was a rough creek bed run - my coiled zook faired quite well, but a similar zook on leaves finished the stage sitting on its bump stops!!
But yes like everyone has siad it is a @%$^ load of work to get it to work right. (not that mine is)

well i dont wanna start a long winded debate about shocks i will keep it brief. there is a fella over here who i belive is the only guy in oz that knows what he is talkin bout wen it comes to suspension. ive known him for a bit over 10 years.basically he can rebuild any shock to wat eva rate u requirebump and rebound,slot car or trail blazer ive had many heated debates about this so all i can say is the proof is in the puddin.so basically wat eva i do to my car it will pass any swerve test the coppers try to pass
