How much of the harness for a V6 vn comadore motor is needed to make it Operate, I relise all the sensors must be retianed and wired.

Has somone got some insight for me , Is it just a matter of powering
Pandoras box up with a few power wires ,

just trace the loom with the gregories guide. its straight foward enough. basically all the wires to and from the computer and sensors, as well as the alternator, ecu relays, fuelpump relys, and beta + need to be retained. where it gets hard is the lockouts for park etc. just trace them to the comp and terminate them there (find out if they need to be joined or seperated by what the std switch does in the happy mode)

i find it easier to trace 1 wire from begginning to end first, then another till all are resolved that way it will run and you won't need to fault find.

cheers

It's a VN and they didn't have anything fancy in the way of body control modules, electronic control of the auto or anti theft built in to the EFI computer IIRC. So a new memcal shouldn't be necessary.

No worrys thanks guys , decide to find out whats avialable as far as aftermarket looms go , and had a chat to Pat gardner of moree V6 conversions today , And like you said mucod ,and pat stated ther is no body module so should be pretty striaght foward , He actually sells a engine box harness, for several different applications.

So all is Good
