Okay, just wondering who here has SAS'd their Lux or 4Runner/Surf?
If so, tell us about it. Who did it? Happy with the job? Any recomendations for companies? etc etc

Im about to do it (in the next month or two).
Im going to do if my self with the help of a couple of my friends who are metal fabs and the knowledgable people on this board
I have heard that Overkill engineering do a good job at a good price for a driv in drive out SAS.

Mate, PM Surfin Alec. He has done it on his LN130 surf (same as 4runner)
I think also HG has done it now as well or is about to.
Have a look over on www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum and look at the search function. Alec has put a tech article up on how he has done it, how much etc.

Yep, Overkill SAS'ed my 94 Surf.
Good investment as I was going through front diffs every couple months. Should pay for itself in the very near future.
Sam did a great job on the conversion and I still can't stop grinning from ear to ear every time I go 4x4ing. I get the missus to drive occassionally just so I can grin at the flex it gets now.

I know another Surf who has had the exact same conversion done at Sam's also and he is also stoked with how it goes, after all he drove Winchbreak when everybody else (except Dan in the 40) could not. Included was some much more modified bigger trucks from this site.

GO the 80...The mods have started :-)

You use the original IFS steering box and pitman arm with an adaptor or you can use a 80 series pitman, either make or buy your dropped hangers, shock hoops, shackles. Use an old set of hilux rear springs with a few leaves changed for the springs. and decide wether you want histeer or conventional crossover.
Use your ifs hubs with a ORI hubspacer kit to get the front the same width as the rear.

I've done it and havent looked back
I done it myself with help from a mate all up it took 2 full days and thats with no experiance of anything this major, since doing that a mate of mine has done it and had the lot tacked in and waiting for a welder mate to finish it off in one day
We both used ORI's double flip arm and drag link with the pitman arm adaptor for the steering

I paid for mine but had heaps of problems and was to dangerous,and i`ve re done it and its all good now just playing with differant springs.
You can do it on a budget or you could spend heaps all depends if your using it as a daily driver or just for offroad.
