Cutting hilux disc brake backing shields Q?

Post by ausyota »

Im in the process of shaving bracing etc on my hilux front diff and was thinking of hacking off the disc brake backing plates to stop mud and sh!t getting jammed in there.
What I want to know is the callipers have a short steel brake line going up to a bracket that is attached to the backing plate. What is the go with that?
Paul.

You could make a bracket off the caliper mount bolts to hold the brake line in place.
