As somebody else already pointed out, your best chance to make it work is making it a "sideline" on a working property.
Another option could be to find a parcel of "crap" land which can't really be used for anything else - but then you'll have the greenies arguing that it's "pristine undisturbed wilderness" and should be locked up...

I would if I had the money to get it rolling. But I would buy an actual farm and reserve a few paddocks for stuff like motocross and 4x4. Also allow shooting on selected weekends. You would have to buy the right terrain and in NSW that means serious dollars.
