Whats involved fitting 36in swampers to MQ
Whats involved fitting 36in swampers to MQ
G'day fellas
I was after some info on what should be done to fit these tyres (36in swampers) to my MQ, I have it lifted at the moment 2in from standard, I have a 50mm body lift kit also (not fitted as yet) but I am wanting to know if I will get away with just a gaurd chop. Will it require any other mod, and also how will the turning be will it rub on the chassie at full lock.
Also what will I require to make road legal or are they going to be illegal anyway no matter what..
Thanks
Casey..

Door #2 for $1000 thanks.
you'll need some flare rubber so as to not attract attention to yourself. 2" body and 2" springs will come close to fitting them i recon. you may need to trim the guards. You could look into extended shackles also, 2" extended will give you another approx. 1" lift. Make sure if you chop guards you check what type of flare rubber you have, some requires a lip to screw into, others don't. Give it a go, scrubbings not a big problem, it should only be on full lock that you get it, i think.
cheers

I run Q78s with only a 2" body lift and lifted springs that have probably sagged back to stock. I had to cut the back of the front guards and the back of the rear guards and beat the lip a bit on the front of the rear guards.
