vitara rigid front susp.
vitara rigid front susp.
does anyone know of rfs conversions done to vitaras in brisbane? yeah just like celias. also been toying with the idea of fitting grand vite steel rims to my 92 lwb. the 5 spoke alloy look rims 16", any ideas?? like to keep it all suzi.
who cares about the bolt pattern when you cant get a ratio to match the rear vit axle anyway....well i haven't found anywhere to get a matching ratio in either a 30 or 44 to match the vit rear (auto or man). i would like to be proven wrong on this cause it could make thiings a whole lot easier than swapping out both ends like i intend to do once i get my home brew kicker3 sorted out.
$$$$$$$$$$
tell me what sort of $$$$'s we're talking about for rfs conversion with a sierra front diff, and how much $$$$ for front and back hilux convert???
is the latter legal in Qld??? we can't modify the track of the vehicle here.

Hilux track is within 5mm of Vitara track so it's pretty easy for that sort of variation to get approved.
You're allowed within 50mm I believe is the normal standard when rims are taken in to account.
Biggest problem is gearing since most Luxes are 4.3 diffs. Even 4.88 is a step backwards from a Vitara's 5.12 diff centres. You can buy Lux R&P up to at least 5.73 which would be a 10% improvement.
Otherwise a vitara/sierra dual tcase will fix this nicely

Problem is that with a coil front end, when you tuck it moves even further forward. The headlight situation needs to be addressed on a Vit with 35's....unless you go for some monster lift.....
Gone drag racing......
