Anyone with a Feroza got slidders..??

Post by FrozzaII »

G'day all, am looking at gettin a set of slidders made up for my rig (when I have the money), I have steps on it at the moment (which lasted one bang and Croz jumping on it) and they are kinda stuffed...!!

So was looking at slidders, if anyone has put a set on a Feroza would like to know what you think...

do they help..??
have you broken them..??
would you recommend them..??
etc, etc...

Was looking at getting them chromed, is the chassis gonna be strong enough for it, or will it be likely to stuff the undertray...??

Just thought I'd try to stir up something new..!! ;)

Do a search, Toyhatsu and I think Murray had them.

I have a pic of Kents (Toyhatsu) ones here. They are pretty sweet. From memory I also think Andy may have had them.

I have em, They were made to fit by Surfection from this website. He has a business now making these kind of things so find him and send him a PM. He's modified the design used on mine for better mounting clearance (mine are about 1/2 an inch below the frame where they mount, but still higher than the xmember so no biggie for me).

I've dropped them on trees, rocks, used them to pivot, still no damage to them. They are bolted over and under the chassis so no clamping affect in the case of those bolted through the frame (Like Shane's...it squeezes the frame in...not good).

As for cost, you'll have to speak with Jeremy (Surfection) and get a quote. He's based in Sydney.

If he has to make a few he may give us a group discount :D ;) , he has quoted me for mine (I will let you PM him and get a quote for your vehicle) and he did the ones on ferog's 80series, and they look tough as. The 80 was resting on them and bouncing off them and they were fine. Will be getting sum made up by Surfection soon, just waiting on the money to come through.

They are good quality, so if you want them made up, trust me, you wont be disappointed.
