Stickers

Hi guys, I have a 91 turbo L/cruiser and some yobbo has been peeling the edges of the Turbo stickers from the rear sides, they're pretty well ruined and I need to remove them completely without scratching any paintwork. I have smeared "truckwash" over them a few times hoping to weaken the glue but no deal. Does anyone have any idea's, I'd appreciate it if you can help.....Al

cut the whole panel off!

Seriously, go to a joinery shop and ask to buy a bit of cleaning thinner off them. I have scrubbed away at glue residue on a few different cars with this stuff and it will clean anything off without even starting to cut into the paint.

just heat em up with a hair dryer that will make em peel off or anything that heats it up

or wax and grease remover bought from any auto shop thats after u peeled them off you can clean the glue off with that

After every comp my rig is covered in bloody stickers so out comes the hair dryer everytime :roll:

Then if there is any little bits of glue left I use wax and greese remover.

it depends on the type of stickers some come off no problem others are a pain in the backside

Being a signwriter, and working with vinyl stickers everyday.
We use a heat gun ( hairdryer ) to get the sticker off, and then just try some turpentine, we have tried just about everything and this seems to work the best just soak the sticky crap re-apply then wipe off.
If its a really old sticker than it will take ages to come off!

just use a pressure cleaner and stand really close, that's how the stickers came off my dad's nissan (by accident) :roll:

Its a NISSAN, so it just wasn't the sticker it would have been the paint aswell :lol:

ya, the bodies aren't the best quality. I think you could just about do the ute chop thing using a pressure cleaner. They are pretty tinny.
