question for soft top owners

Post by SiKiD_01 »

could someone please tell me if water passes through the factory zipper(s) on zook soft tops?

i dont remember ever having the rear window on mine, due to humidity and shrinking so i dont know how water proof the zook zippers are.

i have a feeling i got ripped off again....

thanks

I've heard they should be waterproof, but a couple of people I know fitted the soft top, then sprayed the zippers - inside and out - with Scotchguard or similar and haven't had a problem...just as a precaution.
Theoretically a good softop shoudl be completely waterproof, that beingthe whole idea of having one

I have had my top from one year and never had problems (touch wood) with water coming inside from zippers, stiches, etc.

I heard about spraying the top but I have never done it.
