Insurance company that covers rollbars?

Post by vompie69 »

I was hoping someone on this forum could help me with some information or know of any insurance company that will cover our GQ when we fit rollbars. Our current insurer is going to wipe us, which makes it very difficult as it is a daily driver and we wish to start entering competitions before long.

Grateful for any info,

Thanks Jane

by rollbars, you should be more specific... i have one on my hilux and its fine. its a 3" bar off a new model hilux, and there is no problem with it.

do you mean an exo? i can't understand why they won't insure you for a rollbar. what insurance company are you with?
indubitably

sorry, should have been more specific, by rollbars I mean 6 point internal roll cage, my insurance company won't insure for any internal roll cage. I am with Suncorp, apparently RACQ won't either

there are only 2 insurance companies i know of that cover that sort of mod and they both will only insure it if u get it engineered.

If u get the rollbar engineered, try Shannons or Justcar but if its not engineered, u will only get a basic arch and support bar insured.
