g'day mate,

I am a member of a 4WD club and recemtly found your write up in 4WD Monthly about the transmission mounted handbrake for the hilux. In the mag it was advertised for $500. After bringing this up with a few other hilux owners, a few of us would be keen to get some if they were at a discounted rate. At the moment, there are six of us which are keen to get one, but if we give good reports to our fellow 4x4'ers of the product, im sure plenty more will follow suit. If you could get back to me with a price for the bundle i would appreciate it.

thanks for your help.

*UPDATE*

just spoke to superior engineering, they said the article in 4wd monthly was a typo, and it should have said $599, not $500. he said they are honouring the typo though, and selling them at a "discounted" rate of $500.

i asked him for a discount if say 6 or 7 kits were purchased, and he said he would knock $30 off each (thus making the kits $470 per person). although this price is competitive, and im sure its a good product, i think i might go overseas to get one, and get a lokka while im there, since they are marginally cheaper.

sorry team

So what happens when your brake doesn't work that well or doesn't fit up right.... the supplier is thousands of miles away and won't give a toss do you think???

Mick at Superior has the best customer service and backup I have ever come across.... If the brake does not work properly he will fix it!!!! He will make sure you get your moneys worth!

I have no affiliation with Superior whatsoever other than he did some work for me in past but I can tell you that if you buy elsewhere for only a few dollars difference !YOU ARE CRAZY!!!

Support your local business!!

*another update*

Hi Mick, As we spoke on the phone i would only be able to discount them to $450 each which would be at resellers price.
Cheers
Mick

450 sounds better than 599, I'm in if the group buy is still on. Although with the AUS dollar being strong we might get a good deal elsewhere, but would be happy to buy it at this price, and agree with slosh, backup sevice and help is important.
