Hi there,
Trying to get my truck re-registered, and it needs new tyres, possibly even get some new rims aswell. Gotta pay rego, and roadie, and all the other works...
I have heard of people getting MTR's around the $300 mark, even less. What should I expect to pay for some 35's?
I can get them for around $330 a tyre at one place and he will even let me pay them off.
I have not been able to get onto any one else yet, as I am working nights in Rockhampton (i'm from Brisbane) and I have only just got into work.
Might even get some 15x8" rims aswell, alloys probably as I have been told the new Sunrasias hit stuff as the offset is not right, even though they say they are...
Any good alloy prices going at the moment or what? I don't know what they are worth.
Any help Appreciated.

That's right V8 Middy, Standard 15x7s might have some trouble holding these tyres on, I have some 15x8 sunny's, but they are white, all my other barwork is alloy, would like to get something to match...
Or at least something other than white... Could spray them I suppose.
I would like a second set though, if anyone can verify that sizing issue.
Edit: Registration shouldn't be an issue though, i don't have to take my car in for rego... It will get a roadie with them though i should bet...

i'm in exactly the same boat as you meldge. i've been shopping around and arctic cool treads at rocklea (i know its not rocky, but hey) quoted me $305 each for 35x12.5x15 MT/R's and $65 for 15x8 sunrasias. no one i spoke to did lay buy though, which i was keen on. i dont have a clue about the offset issue although im keen to hear the results.
indubitably

That's cool De-Lux, I'm from brisbane and that's where I will be getting them from...
$305 is not bad... I will have to hit my guy up about it, if he will drop to that price, i will see if i can get you on the pay off deal too hey... That should sweeten the deal for him... Even iff he can't as he said 330 was rock bottom for him. Would you be interested in 330, if you were able to pay them off. If he will, I have gone to him for all my gear, i think that is why he will do it for me but i can ask...

do you mean lay buy, or like a "drive away, pay later" kinda deal? i can get the drive away pay later deal, but i dont want to (i'm really bad with credit
) thats why i was interested in lay buy. but thanks for the offer none the less. i think i will do heaps of overtime at work and try to save over the next fortnight, and buy them outright. (either that, or buy them one at a time, over the next few weeks)

Depends what you want to do with them...but after extensive testing we have been impressed by the Nankangs..35 inch on a 16 for around $200.
Or you can go the Silverstone Xtreme for $300-$345.

buy the mag, take it to your tyre shop and see if you can hasle them to match the price
good thinking... but how do these tyres go on a truck as a daily driver? will they wear out in a fortnight, or will they go the distance like MT/R's?

That price is for MTRs
Get out the yellow pages and phone around for a quote. The guys on the other end know that when you finish talking you'll be ringing the next shop on the list, so they'll prolly ask "what's the best price you have so far", and say whether they can match it or not. Sometimes they are keen to move old stock.
As for the alloys, when I was up in Rocky a few months ago getting a puncture repaired I was blown away how cheap the prices for the wheels were up there, at least in the place I went to.
