Did any model Feroza come out with a convex LHS electric mirror? I've just got a normal flat mirror on my '92 ELIII and am starting to get a bit concerned about the huge blindspots on that side..... :shock:

Save your money (if they do exist..) and do what I did, just go to K-Mart, buy one of those little round mirrors and put it in the lower corner closest to the car, the mirrors are large enough and it takes good care of the blind spot for me.

What does 'blind spot' mean ??? If they can't see you they shouldn't be driving :!:

Thanks for all he suggestions! :roll:

I've bought the stick on mirror as suggested by Murray- managed to find some larger "D" shaped ones in BigW.

It might save me from changing lanes on a Honda Prelude again... damn low cars. Even religiously checking over the shoulder isn't always enough.

I've always found if you actually indicate your intentions before you change lanes, most people will let you move accross. :finger:

Although I am to believe that in Adelaide, if you did that, you would be abused, 'flipped the bird', lights flashed at you.....etc.....

Yep... Adelaide sucks for people letting you in.

Just got back from a drive and wanted to get into the right lane, so indicated for ages and then there was a gap so I started to move across. Some prick wasn't going to let me in and accelerated- the only thing that stopped him was the fact he was driving a brand new $40000 Subaru Liberty RX and I was going to take out his front left corner if he pushed the point any further :shock:

Hehe, I had a guy try and cut me off in slow traffic the other day. He had his window down so I reved the mighty Ferwoaza (love extractors :lol: ) and yelled at him "Cmon, I dare ya!"

Do what I did when I got T-Boned last year, keep driving!!! Stopped just past the guy that T-boned me and I had fully ripped off his bumper 8)

Yep. Just wasted nearly $400 on a luggage pod to fit on the roof racks for a future camping trip. It was the easiest way to cure the Feroza non existant boot problem. Then there was the wheel alignment (drives a lot better now) and unscheduled puncture repair.

The dual battery is next on the list and slowly happening (I've got an electronic controller and have lined up some help for a custom tray) ...... then extractors...... and, yes, I wouldn't mind an alloy nudge bar 8) ......

Oh to have more money! :wink:

Go all out and get a steel bullbar..........mine originally had an alloy Bocar Bar on it, but that got ripped of , dented the two front panels and caused my car to be off the road for a couple of months waiting for bit to arrive on the boat.

Besides, you can then save your pennies and get a winch for it !!

I'm pretty sure ARB still have a few Feroza Winch Bars over here.....reasonably priced 'bout $600

Non-existant boot problem.............have you got kids to fill the back seats ?????
If not....remove the seats !

Bullbars are especially good for overgrown tracks.....protects the front end from scratches and dents. I'm not sure that a nudge bar would protect anything....but just a place to mount some Lightforces !

:oops: I must hang my head in shame here.... and admit that I haven't actually been anywhere yet that has needed the use of 4wd- let alone the protection of a bull bar from overgrowth.....

The most I've done, in the two months I've had the Feroza, is some dirt track driving. I have got plans to do some off road stuff, but no definite time set. :oops: Just need to get the inlaws motivated as well (Patrol 4.2 diesel with Safari turbo etc etc.)

I've got another admission too- I hope you are all sitting down- I've been contemplating adding a rear swaybar! :shock: :shock: :shock: I figure most of my driving is on the bitumen, so I'm better off setting it up for that sort of work, and the bar/s can always be taken off if I plan on doing any serious off road stuff.

As far as removing the rear seats, I thought about that- but the furry child (read: Border Collie) prefers his seats! :D He usually takes up both of them.

Hang your head..........well you can almost be excused as there aren't too many places to go 4WDing real close to Adelaide.

I used to go up to Mt Crawford Forest quite a bit.....found lots of good logging tracks, plenty of mud and ruts.
Otherwise it was plain 'ol beach driving......down to the Mouth of the Murray for a longer day trip.


Rear sway bar ??? - Bitumen driving ???? - WHY DID YOU BUY A 4WD :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?

I'm sure your 'Furry Child' would love the opportunity to run around the back of your Feroza......remove the rear window....or better still, take the roof off. She'll love it !!!!

I don't see the need for a rear swaybar...do you have lifted springs? If not, get some. Will tighten it up nicely :) I opened my spring clamps, removed the front sway bar, and it rolls less than a stocker...still can't really figure that one out heheh

"Why did you buy a 4WD??" - well it's a drive to work vehicle for me, but I wanted something that could be used more on weekends (unlike the old crappy Charade it replaced). It will be used for camping and off road trips on weekends, I just haven't had much of an opportunity to do so yet.

As far as I know all my suspension is stock, including height. I've even got the original electronic shockers (which no doubt are shagged after 160000km :roll: ). They still seem to make a difference when the settings are changed though. I'm not too keen on raising it at the moment, although it's interesting to hear your's handles better after the changes you've made, Murray :!: :?: :!:

I think the bigger 31" tyres also have a part to play in making it feel more stable :!:
