ARB compressor limit switch

Does anyone know if the pressure switch on the ARB compressor is adjustable?

I was pulling the compressor apart yesterday when I noticed that the top of the pressure switch actually spins. It sort of "clicks" as if it's graduated. It prompted me to wonder if that was a pressure adjustment.

Anyone know fo 'sho?

I installed ARB for 5 years and never heard of this.
The switches are a bit fragile, I had to replace a few under warrenty.
I suspect that your switch may not still work after you have turned it ,
it rings a bell that a few were faulty when their tops were loose.,

arb presuure switches are non adjustable, so they are set right not to blow out airlocker seals

I had a ARB switch fail in the on position, this caused my rear o rings to blow.

Since then i have fitted a pressure relief valve ($15) to prevent this happening again.

BTW- if you want an adjustable switch you could fit one from an 240volt air compressor tank, aprox $60.

i dont think the pressure switch is adjustable.
i believe if u want one to cut off at a different pressure u have to buy a different one thats at the correct temp.

u can however put a regulator after the switch then run everything eles after that so that its at the cut off pressure in the tank but lower in the following line.......

if u want higher dont go any higher than 110 pound as ull root the locker.

You can buy adjustable pressure switches - hobbs switches i think theyre called, used to run them on a turbo car for the water injection, they aren't that dear and can be had with normally open and closed contacts, car shops should sell them, theyve got a rubber bung in the end of them, remove it and adjust the spring with an allen key, they come in different pressure ranges.
But like said above, don't stuff the locker...
