Oi! Where are all the 60 owners?

Post by 4WRNING »

Oi, apart from all the awsome rigs that are on ih8mud.com, where can i find pictures of aussie owned custom 60s...

2 other questions.

Will 35s be ok with a 2h diesel motor? (think not, but like opinions)

Why shouldnt i get a HJ60? (2big, slow, old etc...)

Basically, im just trying to decide to go down this path, or the SWB MQ patrol path. Not looking to spend much money is all... Want a truck thats not going to be over $10,000 after mods (so lookin at $6000ish buying price)

Regards
Lee.

The HJ60 is a tough old thing. The 2H is reliable, but lacks grunt, especially on the sand.

I was running a stock 2H in my 60 with 35's and it was O.K. But I got it turbo'd and its heaps better.

The MQ path aint bad, but if you want a rig that is strong and will stand the test of time, the 60 is the better option, although the old SD33 I think had a little more acceleration than the 2h.

Just my 2c
If you want a spare 60 for bits-
