well the standard sierra engine puts out about 47kw - which is about 63HP
gti engine puts out about 74kw - which is about 100HP

minus the drivetrain loss on both engines which was about 10HP on the gti engine which is the only one which was dynoed

so i gained about 37HP

thanks

havent had it offroad yet to give it a workout only been running 3 days

feels very torquey down low though not sure if its due to the extractors (same as kermit & tweety's) or the tune

have to get the dyno printout to see what torque its producing

How did you run the water out the back of the engine. I'm about to do the same conversion.

Any reason for using the "microtech lt8s ecu" rather than the standard computer?

Is this a direct replacement of the computer, or just a chip?

Very nice.
Any chance of a pic of the right hand side of the engine?? Im running a 87 GTi engine in my SJ410, but have been considering retiring it so I can swap the engine into my 96 coiler. This is helping the decision process :D

mudzuki
the reason i choose the lt8s is its a fully programmable computer which uses its own wiring harness.

lilpigzuk
there are a few RHS pics in the gallery of my website.
if you want some more let me know
