I am a newbie to Outer Limits & very unsavvy with mechanics & modifications. I'm from Jamaica & own a stock 1994 F300 Feroza SE RHD.
She's a little beatup but I love her. Very few people here are into modis for 4x4 in the way you folks are and nobody knows about Ferozas. I made a few calls for outer tie rod ends and I had a couple places ask if the vehicle was a Mitsubishi even AFTER I gave the make & model TWICE! UGH!!
Can anyone advise who or where I can query the possibilty of finding matching parts from other makes or models?

Get this - the name of the fellow who deals for Daihatsu in Jamaica is John Crook... no joke. The price for the left outer tie rod end is approx US$225 tax included
. Yes that's ONE tie rod end, not a pair.
I had a machine shop rebuild it, I will in the meantime try to get an Aussie friend of mine to pick a pair up for me, and I also heard of a fellow who gets parts from Belgium but I am yet to speak to him. We'll see what happens.

I also live in Latin America, and have a though time with parts for my 94 Feroza SX. I had the same problem with the tie rod ends, and the local dealership wanted something around 1500 US dollars for the set. With that in mind, I had mine rebuilt for a bit less than 200 US. It was a really professional job, adding safety locks to each tie rod. The steering play was completely eliminated.
Just be careful, if you have yours remanufatured, to find a shop that would dismantle and rebuilt the hole thing, intead of giving the rods a "press" to reduce the play. That´s the difference of having a safe or a suicidal ride. Loosing the steering should be rather unpleasent.
