Looking at a 1990 lwb 4.2 petrol GQ for sale, 33inch 50% bfg ats, 2 inch OME lift, 190,000ks, front diff welded, mech runs well, Can feel a knock through the wheel when steering turning sharply
Rust bubbleing up along rear roofline above sills & rear windows rusting wants $6900 for it
Has 11 mths rego.
What do you think about price welded diff & Rust???Worth it????

i wouldnt touch it...everything on gq is a easy fix and parts are cheepish and readily available...but rust is not acceptible in my oppinion..also welded front diff in a gq? u mean housing or centre? housing is ok if done properly but run and hide if the centre is welded.. would handle like a massey furgusen. for that money here in sydney u would get a clean rust free truck in good condition..dont be concerned about the 33's or 2inch lift.. they are dime a dozen...just get urself a good stock clean truck and the rest is easy
