i want to lift a hilux 91 mod anyone know how to do it cheap yes im a tightass do not want body lift any help out there

measure the no load height of your current springs, then go out to the wreckers, hunt around their spring pack shelves for a set of springs that are taller than yours. heaps to choose from, prolly even get a set of shocks as well, all on the cheap.

Why not keen on a body lift? Legal, good way to get an extra 50 mm in guard clearance and sill height, more room for sill bars, keeps cg a bit lower etc

How would ya go with bushes/fitting with doing it like this? Do different model cars have different bush sizes?

in about 2 weeks i will have a complete set of Heavy duty 3"springs (F+R) and matching shocks - good cond, very strong.

getting new soft super flex ones through superior. Can work a price with ya if interested - PM me.

I knew that nah not really. How bout something like falcon springs, mazda bravo etc?

My ute's progressing pretty slowly... it is a diesel have the 33's on there now, but need to do a few things to make em fit better. Hopefully will be all sweet soon and I can get out and actually wheel it!

Shake your kidneys loose with no load, corners like its on rails - absolutly no roll, no articulation unloaded lifts wheels like no bodies business

I took over a tonne to fraser, didn't sag in the arse one bit!, glided over bumps on road and while wheelin, articulated the best ive seen it do, got one corner (any corner) about 1m off the deck before any lift on any other wheel. had to test it after noticing the difference. still corners well.

SUMMARY
Overall an excellent set up if carrying a load either day to day or while out in the weeds, suit tradie or heavy duty camper. I'm a swag, esky and a jack type of guy also considering comp work so going for the REALLY soft stuff with wrap bars etc......

im in the process of making some body 60mm body lift should have them ready in jan 2005 just getting steering shaft spacers made up the kist will come with everything bolts radator drop plates the lot very cheap cheaper than the shop

a body lift isnt expensive

I paid $100 for the blocks and $10 for the bolts (I got the bolts cheap tho) Some friends helped me do it, cost $110 all up. Took under 2 hrs to do the lift.

I bought a length of hybrid plastic stuff and made a set of 50mm blocks for $56. Please only use high tensile bolts, about $30 and an engineers certificate all for about $180.
Was quoted $600 for lift and extra for gearstick,towbar,front bumper, and radiator. DIY.
