Toy carb install --maybe holden as well
This is some info bout the toy carb from another zook forum.
""Hi ,
Are you trying to put the 3k corrola carby on a 1.3?
This may not be relavent to your situation but i have found the corrola carbys as bad as the suzuki carbys (ecept for the real early corola types) The best thing to do with with a corola carby is grab the bloody thing and trow it as far across the flat as possible with all the emission gear still atached.I have found that the best carby for the job is an old stromburg holden carby that has been rejetted(this applies to the 3 4 5k corrola motors im not sure about the suzuki 1.3 but i recon it would be the same). For some reason the corrola and suzuki carbys work alright for a while then you start having trouble .Once this starts it semms imposable to get them running right for any length of time(to bloody comclicated anyway)The stromburg will make it purr like a kitten and any trouble you do have will only be a blocked jet.To make the conversion just get a bit of flat plate mark and drill the hols for the stromburg then do same as on the manifold .Tap some threads and cut a hole in the center and the job is done.Only other thing you have to do is hook up the aircleaner.

Don't know anything else. trying to get more info. Anyone else have more info regarding this.

why not go for a weber. they work quite well and if installed properly will only try to stall on steep downhills. only prob is getting an airbox adaptor. and the power increase is impressive. my sierra will sit on 110 easily with 31tyres with out gearing and still get 250km to 30ltrs (hwy)
1999 SQ625 Manual Grand Vitara. Lifted, Twin Locked, 31' Extremes, dual Batteries, Winch.
Lots of custom gear as I cant afford the proper stuff.

I don't want the stalling problems and other associated problems with webers.
How long has it taken to get yours tuned? As well as the zook airbox fits the 3k one bolt on.
cheers
My 2c.

i used a lynx manifold adaptor ($37) and had a mate make up an adaptor for the airbox. And yes it has taken a while to get it set up but i've had to do it all myself including getting the jet sizes and air corrector sizes right. It seems to me that every one is scared to put a weber on a zook coz a few ppl have said they had problems. a weber is not a straight bolt on carby. it needs downjetting and adapting to fit but the pwr increase is wicked and so is the induction noise.
my next step is to have it dyno tuned by a decent carby shop and then i will do a full post on sizing and what is needed to instalation.
