Then it can sit in the shed as a registered 4wd :D

I did that last night....not fun

Took hour and half to get home which takes only 45 mins in a normal car

drove the Zuk home last night in peak hour traffic and pouring rain. Certainly very different than the patrol and the Audi. The front springs are brand new Ridepro heavy duty rears and are very stiff and combined with the soft Old Man Emu racing buggy shocks makes for a bouncy ride.

I had forgotten how much fun it was to drive, nice exhaust note too. Amazing with the wide tracks under it how much more bump steer compared to the narrow tracks. Also with the series 3 and the 31s make it rev a bit more than with the 34s.

really can't wait to get this thing back on the road now :D

taken from Vicroads site.....

How long does a certificate last?

A Certificate of Roadworthiness is current, for the purposes of a transaction, for 30 days from the date of issue.

Well I now have a 1.3 and 5 speed g/box. Next step will be to try and convince someone in the club with the tools, garage space and know how to put it in. then get another RWC and voila regoed Sierra.

See, all very easy, you just have to know how to work to timelines and work efficiently and you two can have a car clear a defect notice in just 20 months

not all lwb's are 1.o litres....they are 1.3's from about late 84 to something, then were 1.0 again

Mine was originally a 1.3, theoretically it should be a simple case of taking the old one out bolt the new one in (all engine mounts etc are original) hook everything up and then wait 6 months to get the rwc :D

I got tools ... but no space, and negligible know how ... along with basic build ups that follow grimbo style time lines ...
