I stipped down the axle and fitted new king pin bearings, seals etc so I slotted the Longs in first without any probs.
Took the Toy out for an overnighter up one of our steepest rocky rivers ( climbs to 900m above sea level ) and gave the Longs a good test. In reverse I towed a 60 series over some large rocks, loading the front up fairly well. no problems
The best thing about the new Longs is the confidence you gain in the front axle. I enjoyed putting the truck in difficult terrain not having " this looks like a CV buster" going thru my mind all day !
