It doesn't close until today so if you take it over to him tonight then there wouldn't be any dramas and i am sure he would except it if you were only a day or two late!!!

Back again, It was great to see a few new faces bring there Rock Crawlers up for inspection. It will be a good comp if what I have seen is anything to go by.

This being the 15th. March & entries have closed. I will be going up to the Park on Tuesday afternoon & will accept any extra entries up until then (a phone call & the cheque in the mail might do) . And if by chance you miss me give the Park Office 54973164 & let them know that you want to enter, you might just have to wait a week to get your trophy & breakie & dinner might be a bit thin. I do have to cater for things, that is why I have a close by date. But this being the first I might bend a bit, this will not happen next time!!!!!

Do not forget your eating irons ( knives, forks, plates & coffie/tea cups) other wise you will have to eat out of your hands.

Thanks for the Info Dave.
From your post above i guess as competitors we get a feed as well. I was just wondering is this just for Driver and Spotter or will it cover their spouces as well? It just makes it a little difficult if your otherhalf comes to the event and we still have to cook for them . Or will there be catering available up there as well?

I had planned on taking all food up there but if there is catering available for everyone it will make it a whole lot easier.

Edit; i just checked the XRCC site and noticed that there will be catering. But it does not say what days it will be available.

Also Dave now that entries have closed could we get a list of the current entries that you have in this first round. It will give us all an idea of what we are up against and also let spectators know who they can expect to see compeating.

I also have to fit in a service on my tray B4 I go. :?: :?

Back again :D , Driver & spotter will be supplied breakfast Sat / Sun & dinner Saturday night. Kilcoy Sports club will be able to cater for all others. It could be wise to check with LMP to see if the sports club will be doing breakie Sat / Sun. They might even have food and bar operating Friday night?????????? I hope so, because by this time I will be running a bit low on supplies.

Look forward to catching up with you all on Friday night.

As I have extended the entry closing time, I will try and give you a list Wed. night.

Cheezy,

Let us know what you are waiting for as someone could know a friend of a friend of a friend that may be able to get something sorted!!!!

C'mon Mate you've done so well to let a few bits and pieces set you back!!!!

Also anyone that lives near Cheezy should ask if he needs help!

Its amazing what one or two extra hands can do!!!!

Thanks POS. A few hands wouldnt go astray, ATM I need all the help I can get, so close but yet so far. I have built the entire Mav by my self in a small shed except for the last few days that Moose has helped me ( Thanks heaps Moose) but I still need a bit to finish.
The gear I need is, coils for coilovers, exhaust, brake lines, auto lines and cooler, prep and paint doors, guards and bonnet, make front and rear tailshafts and assemble some other gear.

Any way we will see how we go, back to the bat cave. :D

dont bother

Post by 1MadEngineer »

just spent the day helping POS do the last few mods, meanwhile RUFF & CJer helped sam with his rig. After seeing this contraption none of us need bother turning up - he is going to kick ass.... Although me & Adrian will keep him honest!!! the POS mobile is now ready for action, complete with spare driveshafts. And after watching the xrcc video we should a much better chance of a place if we get a couple of judges that can see the action.

Yup, POS is ready to ROCK n ROLL!!!

Had a few Set backs.

We haven't been able to work out why the POS was sitting lop sided, then we realised the Rancho was bent like a banana, so took it off and 1mad straightened it and its as good as new!!!

Looking forward to this weekend, mainly to drive with some different guys and also to see these awsome machines they have made :)

Cheezy if the coils are your big prob have you called Pete Kincade as he may have some coils you could borrow that would suit. His rig wont be ready for this round.

Also if this is all you have to do then you are home and hosed as myself and Sam still have about 2 weeks worth of work left on his rig and we are flat out at work at the moment so he is on his own during the day.

We still have exhast, brakes, mount the cab, build a complete new cage,It still has no floor in the cab, and mount the winch along with a whole lot of little stuff along the way.

O shyt yer, I forgot about a bar and winch.
Is it in the rules that you have to have a winch :?:
It would look pretty cocky turning up without a winch.

Cheezy i am sure we won't mind if the old girl turns up in primer, so don't get to stressed about paint!

That should save you 1/2 a day!!!

DO WE HAVE ANY TAKERS TO GIVE CHEEZY A HAND!!!!

Even if its something simple like running erins and picking up parts!!!!!

Went testing with the Trailcraft buggy and ours on the weekend. Not even I could imagine how even and capable bothe cars were. The shit the two of us could drive was unbelievable my old Zook would have rolled atleast 15 times yet the new one was not even close. So you TOADS up there better watch out we mean business. :finger: No seriously the two trucks were awsum to drive and neither broke a thing all day and we were ttrying our hardest so it should make for some good entertaining driving but you will all see come this weekend.
