hi all,I have a 81 patrol s.w.b v8 and the front diff is stuffed,now how do i know what ratio it is? the vehicle is origanally a 2.8.thanks all

not selling any more ????

would be 4.6 for sure.

Only the late model utes had 4.8's
and the turbo deisels had 4.3's (I have a set of these for sale soon)
everything else is 4.6 mostly

hi......yes its still 4 sale i will sell if i get a decent offer...

so its a 4.6 ratio wow did'nt think it was low to start with...

so then what ratio is nat asp diesal?.....i would have guessed the diesals had lower ratio...cheers..thankx

Check the plate above the wheel arch or on the bulkead in the engine bay ( or a sticker on the door jamb) and look for the axle code. HGxx, where xx is x.x approximating the ratio.
