really looking forwad to being part of tough tracks 4x4 club .
there is a great group of people working to make this happen and what is already in place and being planned for the future looks great .
we will have a introduction weekend on the 15th of january at black duck .
anyone who is interested please let us know so we will have an idea on numbers .
we will have practice tracks set up for anyone who is interested in competing in march and people who can give advice and tips on vehicle set up .
we will have officials in place on the tracks to give them an idea of what to expect and to understand the rules and scoring.
it will also give us an idea of how things will run . so any feedback would be greatly appreciated .
so whether you are new to this sport or just want to have a drive come along for a fun weekend and lend your support .
cheers brett

How many members do you have at present
and how much is member ship
there is a thread in general chat about the club.
i think theres around a dozen members so far this week and i'v sent out quite a few membership forms so its looking pretty promising.
the intro weekend should be fun and only park fees apply.

yeh the events are for rego'd vehicles.
these events are different to the ASCC but are based on the same level of terrain and similar vehicle specs.
As far as i know the ascc is no more ... check with glen.

Don't be fooled by the "club" in the name, as it's just what is being used till an actual event name is decided upon.. It has been put out as this for now so everyone can get their hands on the rules/specs and the event date. You do not have to be a member to compete, although there will be entry discounts for members, so over the course of 3 events the membership pays for itself.

LOL did you even read the frst post? Not trying to be ahrsh its just theres a lot of people in here asking questions that have already been answered. Just think its a bit unfair on red and the other boys to repeat themselves.
By the way great work on bringing more competition into the scene. I'm loving all these new comps. Just wish my rig was finished and I could get enough praccy in to compete.

i more read the 50 odd pages of rules and regulations! what a read! mainly more interested in what class i would be put in, becuase for standard it says i need factory engine steering suspension and al this other stuff that i have already modified and some of the mod's arnt allowed in touring class either, main one cross over steering.

we have relaxed some of the rules re trophy class vehicles - any motor can now be fitted as long as d.o.t. approved. can't see cross over steering being an issue. (new updated vehicle specs - http://www.toughtracks.org

every thing for the march event is coming along nicely.
sponsors have been finalised for all tracks.
alot of the track building will be sorted this week end with the help of an excavator.
the competitor list is growing fast and the variety of vehicles is very good to see.
will be good to have some of the ol boys up there to have a play .

I don't want to step on any toes here but info from last nights meeting included:
Park entry is additional to competition entry fee ($60 for 2 days)
A second car (the registered navi's car) can enter free
Third party insurance extension is required to enter the competition, and will not be available on site
