harmonic balancer alignment.

Post by muppet_man67 »

When I changed the swift G13BA engine into my SJ80 (coil sierra everthing matched up exept for the harmonic balancer on a coily not having a notch for a key on the timing belt pully.

I went back to suziworld and was given a harmonic balancer that fit. however the alignment was out. I went back to suziworld again and I was given a spacer that helped however the alignment is still wrong.

To fix this probelem is it as simple as replaceing the timeing belt pully with one from an sj80. and an sj80 harmonic balancer or will this put the timing belt out of alignment? In which case do I have to change the top timing belt pully also? etc etc.

Thanks help much appreciated. Im sic of sqealing noises from under the bonnet.
