My Pajero has a switch for S / M / H suspension.
Can anyone feel the difference between each setting?
How do they do it - is it electric shocks or what?

Yes they are electric.
If they are working properly you will definitely notice a difference between the settings.
These are a KYB shock and cost around $600Ea new from Mitsu :roll:
Most owners jsut replace them with an aftermarket shock when they are farked.
So you got ABS and the factory rear locker then ??

Yes - this is my first Pajero - 93 V6, SWB.
It seems to have the lot inc. electric windows, cruise, sunroof and the rear diff lock.
Haven't read the book yet but couldn't make much sense out of the "recommended settings' sticker on the door.
It talks about a centre diff lock?
I'm sure it will all become clear eventually.
I suspect this has aftermaket shocks as I can't tell any difference in the ride when I change the switch.
I haven't stuck my head under to check yet.

The super select 4x4 system is what you have.
There are 5 positions for the t/case lever on a 5sp.
- 2wd, 4wd high range (centre diff unlocked), nuetral, 4wd high range(centre diff locked), 4wd low range.

I have a 91nh 3.0lt it still has the original adjustable shocks and I can tell the difference especially off road ...... I dont know if its just mine but you may have to put the thing in reverse to get it to release 4 wheel drive ..... a bit quirkey but goes great with the factory rear locker I have gone places where a 80 series landcruiser couldn't :lol: enjoy

You can tell if they are still the adjustable shocks by looking at them.

If they are, there will be a small, round actuator motor on top of each shock with some wires running out of it. If there is nothing like that on the shock and an unplugged set of wire near the ends then they have been replaced and the actuators removed.
