Help with Aluminium Welding - Brisbane

Post by Meldge »

Hi All...

I am thinking of making a new windscreen surround for my truck and having some laminated glass cut to fit, as I want to lower the height of my car...

In doing so, the roll cage will not line up and bolt to the windscreen anymore. I am in need of some assistance from someone who could help me cut down the roll bars, and re-weld them at the appropriate height.

I see it as a relatively easy job, but have never welded in my life...

If someone might have some time free and would be willing to help, please let me know...

Go down to All Yacht Spars at Lytton (near Fort Lytton) and ask them. Probably take them about half an hour or so.

They are a yachting rigging place and weld alloy masts.
