Hey guys have a 24v MQ and just recently got an auto elec to install a redarc 30amp reducer and i wanna run two amps off it. Possibly around 800 to 1100watts all up.
Gonna work?? I got one running off it now and all seems okay but i dont want to stuff anything up when i add the second one.

mate i had a 24v MQ and i ran the 12 v gear off the first battery, im not an auto sparky, but i am a average garden variety one, so i do know a bit about it. it seemed to work ok for me and i never had a prob. i had 440 w amp and a few other little things running off it. just make sure you fuse the supply to the amp and it should be fine. if im wrong ill stand corrected. any auto sparkys got a idea on this. oh by the way in mine the drivers side was the 12 v

Yeah it will kill it eventually.
I got a similar problem as my unknown output amp pulls 40 amps and i run another 30 amp drain in my communcation gear so instead of doin a couple of huge a$$ converters i was thinking of running another battery and modding a smaller rated voltage converter to charge that battery as none of the load would be used all the time - there is just so much the ears can take.
Another idea kicking around is to mount another internally regulated alternator just for purpose of charging the 3rd battery.
Cheers
