Has anyone had any problems with f300 feroza fuel pumps?
I have owned this vehicle for about 2 years and i have just replaced the pump for the 3rd time (luckly under warranty), they have all been fuelmiser brand.
I need to find a new inline fuel filter/strainer which is found in the inlet neck of the pump. If you know of any OE part numbers or aftermarket equivilents can you please let me know. At this point Diahatsu don't have a listing.
I tried making one out of stainless mesh but it seems to be a bit restrictive, works fine at 60ks but anything above that feels like the handbrakes on

Fuel filter
The filter/strainer is located in the inlet side of the fuel pump. It fits internally in the pump housing and only sits loose in the neck. Shaped like a cone, about 10mm round at the big end, about 25mm long, made out of some sort of plastic.
I would use the original one if the last mechanic didn't loose it
I have tried plumbing in a ryco inline filter(like used on holdens) but it would not prime itself.[/code]

Probably the problems stem from a warranty issue with the pump,I was'nt sure if anyone else might of had the same problem.
Fuelmiser say that they had a bad batch of pumps but they also found crap in my old pump.
I keen to find a replacement filter/strainer before to much longer.
The filter was fitted as OE and I don't want to risk stuffing a pump through rubbish getting in.
