I guess it all depends on how you plan on going on with it,

but my idea would be,

buy the 90 model hilux with 2.8 etc in it, look hard and buy well.

then if the dollars allow do a coil instead, you are changing about the same amount of stuff.

My theory is though with cars pay a little bit more and get a lot more.

By the time you buy all the bits you need and change all the stuff you might already have purchased a running 90's hilux.

Just my 2c worth.

Sounds like a lot of fun though.

Is this gonna be a trailer queen. Why I ask is cause with 6.1 wont going back to road sized tyres suck. I also didnt think eliptics were registerable.

And busiboy how is a "running 90s hilux" comparable in off-road capability to this project once its finished??? I don't particularly see the point in paying more for a later model then butchering it so it ends up the same as if youd started with an earlier one. Most of the shit gets busted and replaced whether its newer or older anyway doing the shit these guys do. lol.

John

ADD: Mmmmmm looked at that tapered dodge. Looks bloody nice. Be interesting to see how yours turns out.

You have too much time on your hands then :P

Really if its all there already and you have da skillz then do it :) Its good to be different sometimes. Will you run the 37's on road though :?: May be a small nightmare to do all this with transport approval but if that's not an issue then enjoy :D
