I know Richard at 4x4Engineering does the marks gear regularly. Someone out the bayside way does Dellows gear. Maybe someone else on the board would have an idea of who that is. As far as the right price goes if your looking at someone doing it all for you its around the 10K mark at most places. You can do it cheaper and better(or worse and even cheaper) yourself.

Waynes world of 4x4 conversions on GC has done just about everything into a lux/ 4 runner. He's also pretty helpful on the phone.

v6 conversion

i was lucky to have full workshop facilities (a sign fabrication factory) when i did mine.

We had mig welders, grinders and heaps of offcuts of steel lying around for making engine mounts and brackets etc. oh and a forklift for lifting the engine in and out about 20 times till we got it in the right spot.

It took me 2 weeks to get it done after hours. That was including a mate doing all the electrical work (which is the hardest part) we did it all without Marks stuff too.

I'm not a mechanic, nor a welder so doing someone elses truck is probably not a good idea. But if you need to look at mine or want some close up pics etc let us know.

Cheers Chris

One suggestion, use the new type hilux engine mounts that are totally encased. The old style with the rubber vulcanised to the steel rip off all the time and I mean all the time the best I got out of a nearside mount was two weeks.

 now I hear this!

MTX have a look at Chris' truck if you can. It is well set up!

I am also mechical gumby, but from having a go at it myself I will be more confident in having to work on it on a trail somewhere now! Just call in mates (or relo's) if there is something you are uncertain with, or just plainly carnt do (im with Chris-I too have a mate doing the wiring) Beers cheap!

Cheers
