Disc Brakes with or without Stoneguard

Post by christover1 »

What are peoples opinions on stone guards on the discs...If I can see no other purpose that they fulfil, I'm thinking of removing them from my Sierra.
Better access for cleaning and cooling, less chance of mud/rocks building up behind them...Less blood when changing broken CV's etc.
I know brakes are a touchy subject to some, but I will consider all thoughts/opinions.
While I doing the diff, may as well re do brakes, bearings etc at same time.

It is annoying bending the stone guards and them rubbing on the disc's.
I have had mine off for a long time with no problems.
