OK, so I have a dts turbo on the lux, and got it tuned and the pump sorted with a fuel compensator thingy and it has been running sweet but there was always an amount of oily residue from the tappet cover breather to the inlet side of the turbo.
So I put a catch can in line to stop the oil going through the turbo and back into the inlet manifold but now it blows a crap load of smoke when I take off from a set of lights and I don't know why??
Anyone got any ideas or should I just shit can the idea and go back to how it was..

Oil catch can issues

Is your catch can a sealed unit or is it vented to outside by a filter of some sorts?
If it's a sealed unit then it shouldn't make any difference other than scrub the oil from the rocker cover vapours as it's supposed to do.
I don't know if a vented one would cause your problems but most of the "doof doof" boys use them in their ricers even though they are illegal.
Route the piping back to what you had it originally and see if the smoke problems are still there.
Regards Andrew.
