the last month i have noticed my fuel consumptoin has increased.I drive a 1986 swb l/cruiser 3b its got 290,000 km on it. apart from the fuel comsumption it drives great.any ideas what it could be, any help would be appreciated.
fuel efficence
when was the last tune up /service ? how dirty is the air filt? do u leave in a dusty area ? or is the right foot heavy like mine trying to chase more go out of it
Is the old 3b starting to idle a little higher than normal?
It may be a leaky governor diaphragm letting more fuel through than it should.
But start with the simple things first, like dirty air filter or perhaps a leaky primer pump?
