i broke the solenoid that engages the vacuum lock for 4low. i get
fronts turning in 4H, whilst in 4L the back wheels go into low.

i would like this fixed propely and before new years.
who can recomend a company or person around north brisbane :?:

oh and i have a banging noise when i start my car, turn corners, and turn
it of. it comes from around the gearbox but it all feels tight...any sugestions

oh its a diesel rocky

Would need a few more details to help mate. Have you got underneth for a bit of a look? How did you greak the solenoid?

Don't know the Brissy area to help either. Sorry not much help at all..................

Have ya checked around the xfer case for vacuum hoses split?.

Banging, sounds like maybe the flywheel loose or some covers loose somewhere?. check the waterpump fan and around there.

Take it to the nearest 4b shop.. get them to work on it..

always get a good rapport going with your local dude, it helps in the long run

what is boab 4x4 at lawnton like? its the nearest 4x4 shop.

i would have no doubt its from the flywheel-gearbox area.

been told today that its the solenoid and will cost 300-400 to repair.
