Post by big red »

I broke my winch rope at the ASCC and my new ones haven't arrived yet so i was wondering if i can form a loop and use those bolt up joiners in an emergency.

you can just use the old parramatta blue and yellow rope if you want. It is just as good as that plasma stuff

I wouldn't.
That would create 2 new weak points (both joiners)

i was just going to leave off the bit of rope that broke and make a new loop to put the hook on. it wouldn't have to go through the fairlead, it would just be shorter.
