hope you kept the small surround from the back doors - simply butt them up against the pillars (B) - weld and then take that whoel back section off at the desired height line - move forward - weld and hey presto!!!!
I don't have photochop - so I can't be that tricky....
btuck fugger.
And yes Mosse - guys the 60 that he did - looks absolutley crazy - custom tray - sweet lines and sits up tall as!!!! Not bad for one that fell over....?

When I bring the D pillar fwd I'm going to use some sheet to fill in the blanks, maybe even some of the old roof as a head board behind the frt seats.

On the rear door there should have been a small window there - just move that along the window and butt up to the B pillar and weld....
Unless I'm really stoopid this week (I know I'm way farken grumpy) I thinketh that this is correct.
Ultimately - what you have organised/cut so far should cut the mustard though as it looks like you can run a bikini top no dramas - I'd keep it all open and have yourself a filth comp truck - hell - even scoot across for XRCC if you get it right!!!!!
The cage plan looks cool too. Although I'm gonna try run something like - hope this works!!:
/----|---|\ ie 8pt - one at A pillar - one at B pillar - one at c Pillar and then back into the corners.... Visualise it and it looks mean.

Nice pic of the Yank 60. Whered you find that? Yeah, I thought about using the rear 1/4 windows but I want more 'tray' room so I can fit the Yamaha in the back.
NAM is right, ur CofG will be higher like that. Why not have it like
/---l------\
Extend the rear legs parrallel with the top of the bar a foot or two then have it angle down into the rear cnrs. OMO.

guys guys guys!!! I have totally missed this thread!! let me in!! let me in!!
I am totally into all this right now, considering my most recentest photos in the members section. I am was originally hoping to chop the back off an imperial foot from the pillars that the front seat belts bolt to (whatever they are) and build custom rear-most pillars to craft a vertical 75 series/hilux style rear for my extra cab. But the nice obliging panel beater tells me to save some cash (big dollas to fab up new pillars) and the just incorporate the existing rear most wagon pillars into the back. so myne is now going to be not so vertical at the back, but sloped at the same angle as the wagon at the back, with same rear glass, and finished at the position of the sill, where it meats the rear arch, in a (hopefully) neat extra cab setup.
dammit. hope that made sense. catch up with all this tomoz!!
cheers. dan

Cheers Dam,
Well instead of a 60 - I've grabbed a Rangie 2 door which is getting uted and bobtailed by a mate, with the GQ driveline going in via engineers.
Keeping the good old Leyland 4.4 so I have some grunt, with teh chop looking factory by the end - two 4drs have already gone under the 9" and look fantastic.
If anyone wants a 4dr body, chopped and setup with cage and full racing seat and interior un bolt from chassis an dits yours - PM me.
As for mine - roll on the chop, welding and all teh cage and stuff.
I think your guy is onto it for cost wise - fabricating means $$$ although there's a super neat extra cab 60 series that was done by a mate - full custom everything and an awesome look.
Anyway - be cool and easy on your axles!!!! Paulo
