GQ Battery Tray

Post by Screwy »

The battery tray in my GQ SWB TB42 is rooted... someone has put a plate over the top of the stuffed tray so the battery can still sit there... but its worn away a largish section of the guard ( can look up at the batt tray from under the wheel well ).

It isnt rusted away, its just gone, i assume its been easten by battery acid cause there is a fair bit of it around the area.....

wat would be the best move here?
just bend up a new tray section? then also bend up a small panel steel section for the inner guard as well? all welded in place?

anyone else had this before?

o, well if it doesnt come with an inner guard ill just make my own new one for $5 of steel rather than $80 on a tray.
especially seeing as i have to buy steel for the inner guard anyways.....
was hopeing it was a full inclosed unit...
