After a Toolangi boghole last week , all the usual light came up on the dash to tell me the alternator got a bit wet. Im no surprised really!! But the brake light was on as well. Then I noticed that the brakes were not pulling up at all, even with 2 feet planted on the pedal, it was only just starting to slow down. I stopped and bled the brakes, but to no avail. Pulled off the hose to the booster and turned the engine on. It wasnt vaccuming at all and the engine didnt alter in revs or run rough at all. I had taken it for a swim a few days before at wombat as well.
When I got it home, I pulled off the alternator and started to pull it down a bit and clean out the mud and gunk out, put it back together then put it back in the lux. The brakes seem a little better, but not by much. The brake light is still on as well. The brake fluid is still full though.
Is the vaccum stuffed, or can it be fixed.
Otherwise I think im up for another alternator
Any ideas guys
